Every Sunday - Worship and Word at 10-45 a.m
17th December 2017 - Denise Hayton - All Age service followed by Mince Pies
Please note that on Sunday 31st December 31st the service will focus on thanksgiving for God's faithfulness and so the pastor would like each member of the congregation to prepare a SHORT testimony (5 mins) concerning something God has done in their personal lives in 2017, and share it at that service; it could be something learnt, something God has provided, answered prayer - anything that will encourage the rest of us and a spur to further faith filled prayer.
News for December:
As there are a number of places around Settle where the public can donate food to the Food Bank, from January there will no longer be a donation box in the church.
Christmas cards: if you wish to send a Christmas message to members of the fellowship, (rather than send a card to everyone) please feel free to sign the communal card which will be displayed from the second Sunday in December.
There will be a service in church on Christmas Day, beginning at 10-30 and lasting an hour. Please join us if you can to celebrate the birth of the Saviour. If you are away, then we wish you a very happy time - see you in 2018!
THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE WHO CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THE CHILDREN'S WORK IN SUMBAWANGA.

WE NEED TO RAISE AROUND £5000. PLEASE DONATE THROUGH THE BANK ACCOUNT ON THIS PAGE AND PUT A REFERENCE OF STREET CHILDREN ON IT.

The trustees met recently and discussed the distribution of the Church tithe this year. It was decided that the tithe would be split between MAF, Deborah Deren's work in Kenya, David Chaudhary Ministries and our own children's home in Tanzania. The trustees would like to express their thanks to all who faithfully give to the work of the fellowship, and to our treasurer, who sorts it out!
TALKING OF THE NEW YEAR! - 2018 HERALDS THE INITIATIVE CALLED "HOPE18" , where Christians will be encouraged to get involved in their neighbourhood, sharing their faith easily and naturally with their friends, neighbours and others. When reflecting on the past year, why not consider what God may be saying to you about this?
"In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God Himself. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him. In Him was life (and the power to bestow life) and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines on in the darkness and the darkness did not understand it or overpower it or absorb it." (John 1: 1-5 AMP)

The Food Bank - Please don't forget about donations for the Food Bank - even one small tin a week from every family represented in Church would help enormously! Thanks to Elizabeth for continuing to take the donations to where they need to go!
