Pastor Tony was invited to Kulongwe beside Lake Tanganyika in September 2013. This is a recent report of his two weeks of living with them. Kulongwe is a village with just over 2500 residents in a very remote area alongside the Lake.

Statistics this year :
Over 419 children dead from Malaria, cholera and other deadly diseases.
210 mothers died in childbirth.
Last year 120 children dead from these diseases showing a massive increase this year.
Insufficient mosquito nets in this village.
Water standpipe has been dry since 2006 (see photos below).

This is the water supply that most of the villagers have to use as they are not able to afford bottled water.

You may find some of this disturbing . We hope that you will want to want to join us in saving people's lives.

As of  6th MARCH 2014 , the first standpipe was repaired and the water is now flowing, brief video clip below, Praise the Lord. The second pipe is now repaired and the water flowing after some initial difficulties and the short video clip is showing after the photos. As of 25th July, the money has been sent to start the third standpipe. The villagers are so delighted that they are putting in a roadway to help those living in the next village to access the fresh water. This is truly saving lives and giving new hope to these precious people. Thank you to Lenny, the engineer, all those involved in fundraising and to God be the Glory.

The first and second standpipes are working and the fresh water flowing and lives are being saved.
